Navy Strength
Hot on the heels of their new and already acclaimed Belltown beer bar No Anchor, owners Anu and Chris Elford opened this tiki glam cocktail bar sibling this week right next door.

The Saloon
Feed Store, the Mount Baker mercantile, moved into roomier digs last October. Its old space two doors down “roared back to life last month” as this “atmosphere-drenched cocktail bar” by the same owners.

Coming Soon

Seattle Pops
This purveyor of seasonal popsicles, often found at farmer’s markets, will soon open a brick-and-mortar spot in Wallingford this summer.

Beer Star
White Center beer lovers are rejoicing over this forthcoming beer shop and watering hole with 40 taps of local beer; it comes from the folks behind Stoneburner in Ballard and Rhein Haus on Capitol Hill. For sustenance, a Li’l Woody’s and a yet-unnamed Chinese takeout-style restaurant will share the space.

A new Bellevue apartment building has locked down its final tenant, this modern Japanese restaurant helmed by New York City sushi chef Dylan Xu. It joins Honor Bar and Coffee inside the Alley 111 space.

Dairy Dispatch

Salt and Straw
It’s really happening. Not for a popup, not for a one-week-only kind of engagement. The company is busy building a store in the Pike Motorworks project on Capitol Hill—in a window-filled corner at Pike and Boylston.

Straw(berry Shake) Poll

If you haven’t yet heard the good word, the vote is in and the turnout of civically engaged burger fiends was huge: “the south region wins” a new Dick’s outpost, the local chainlet revealed on their Facebook page this week.
