Tom Waits Cocktail Club
It’s been a couple years since the days of this winning combo of cocktails paired with Tom Waits songs, and people still call the Bottleneck Lounge inquiring about it. So they’ll be happy to hear that the Tom Waits Cocktail Club is reconvening for one night only at Tommy Gun. Andras Jones—formerly of the Bottleneck and serious Tom Waits fan—has agreed to curate and DJ the evening. Music starts at 8.

Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon Dinner

SATURDAY, September 14

Redhook Sausage Fest
No, not that kind of sausage fest, although you can probably expect plenty of dudes at this meat-centric bash. Along with traditional barbecue fare will be Redhook classics like ESB and Long Hammer IPA and new releases too. The brewery has also snagged some of the best acts from the local music scene, such as Beat Connection, My Goodness, Fly Moon Royalty, and more. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Bottlehouse Third Annual Cider Féte
What better place to celebrate fall, sip cider, and bob for apples than at Bottlehouse's charming backyard garden and patio? Join a slew of Northwest cideries (i.e. Dragon's Head, Finnriver, Schilling, Reverend Nat's, Sea Cider, and Tieton) as they showcase their best in one last salute to a successful Washington Cider Week. Admission is $10, and festivities start at 2.

Big Night at Kestrel Winery
Make a getaway of it at Kestrel Winery in Prosser, where dinner in the vineyard and free-flowing wine come together for the titular “big night.” Acclaimed Pacific Northwest chefs will prepare a Mediterranean-themed dinner that will be served up family-style amongst the vines. Ciders and Bites at the Coterie Room
Cap off a whirlwind of a cider week with this grand finale event at The Coterie Room. The $15 admission buys you small bites paired with a bunch of ciders that have been featured at various Washington Cider Week events. Meet the friendly folks at Tieton Cider Works and Wandering Aegnus, too. 

Mobile Food Fight for Hunger
Ten of Seattle’s top food trucks (i.e. Where Ya at Matt, Skillet, Off the Rez) will be convening at World Concern Headquarters in Shoreline for a day of eating for a good cause. A portion of the proceeds will go towards World Concern’s sustainable agricultural programs. Buy a $5 VIP pass to get in early and skip the lines. Gates open at noon.

MONDAY, September 16

Yes on 522 Benefit Dinner
Yes on 522—an initiative to label genetically engineered foods—is hosting a dinner at Stumbling Goat Bistro to raise money for its cause. This one is being prepared by chef Joshua Theilen and features "canapés, cocktails, and conversation," and of course—locally grown and produced food. Dinner starts at 6. Kraken Congee Popup at Olivar

Fried Chicken Cook-off
Ethan Stowell’s penchant for competition has brought you yet another cook-off at Tavoláta, and this one’s of the fried chicken variety. Some of Seattle’s best chefs (including Joshua Henderson of the new Westward, Tricia Marino of Stoneburner, and of course, Stowell himself) will duke it out for title of fried chicken king/queen. With a $50 ticket, you get to taste and rate everything they churn out, with plenty of coleslaw, potato salad, mac and cheese, and draft beer on the side.
