Pasta (and amaro) man Mike Easton is on the move. Easton is taking his perpetually packed lunch spot Il Corvo to a new, larger location in Pioneer Square. Easton will close the pastaria on the Market Hillclimb on November 30 (yes, that's this Friday) as he prepares to relocate to 217 James Street.
At 1,110 square feet the space, once occupied by BuiltBurger, is a considerable upgrade from the cramped quarters Easton shares with Procopio gelateria. There's a full kitchen, which will allow Easton to pump out more pasta—news sure to delight the legions of fans who have braved long lines only to encounter 86'ed menu items—and bolster the bill with housemade charcuterie, desserts, and packaged pasta.
Easton, who has been on the lookout for new digs for a while now, says he will continue to serve lunch only but does plan to host weekly dinners. The goal is to reopen in early 2013, and the name will remain as is. Easton describes this new location as in turnkey condition, so here's hoping we're in for a speedy transition.
