Library Bistro 8am–1pm
Executive chef Tiffany Layco presents an extensive menu. Highlights include eggs sardou (poached eggs, artichoke, spinach, truffle oil, and hollandaise) and crab benedict with avocado, tomato, and tarragon. Lunch selections—the bookstore veggie burger with tofu, avocado, and miso sauce, and the dungeness crab hoagie with bell peppers and greens—will be available, too. Pomegranate Bistro
Start things off right with the “Mama Royal”—pama liquor and French sparkling cremant—move on to the Georgia sticky buns, then dig in to cardamom French toast with strawberry rhubarb compote, or an Italian sausage scramble with firebread. To finish, how about a mini creamsicle panna cotta. $28/person, $10/kids tray; reservations recommended.
Ponti Seafood Grill 10am – 2:30pm
After noshing on blueberry coffee cake and salad or currant-apricot scones and avgolemono lamb soup, choose from seven special entrees, like the Dungeness crab benedict or the grilled wild Alaskan salmon. Ginger-soy marinated beef tenderloin skewers and the Bridge Tender Special, which includes sausage, bacon, potatoes and eggs, are also available. $29/adult, $15/child ages 12 and under; reservations recommended.
Rover’s 10am–2pm
Thierry Rautureau prepares a two- or three-course menu with wine pairings. Or, individual items range from Alaskan halibut with red quinoa, roasted beets, and ginger lime sauce, to caramelized pear crepes with Meyer lemon sauce and chantilly cream. For something different (and decadent), try the scrambled egg with lime crème fraîche and middle eastern osetra caviar. Salish Lodge
In the dining room, sit down to a breakfast of buttermilk pancakes and egg dishes. Or, in the grand ballroom, troll the buffet stations serving mussels and shrimp, slices of fireweed honey baked ham, and simple salads. Top if off with the valrhona chocolate bombe. Sip at the Wine Bar and Restaurant 10am–2pm
All three locations—Seattle, Issaquah, and Gig Harbor—are presenting a special brunch menu featuring the likes of green eggs and ham, banana cakes, flat iron steak and eggs, and scones. The best part: Mom gets free bubbly with her meal. Individual items from $11; reservations recommended.
Terra Vista 4pm-9pm
The regular spring menu’s on hand, but go all out and order from the Chateaubriand carving table. The tenderloin is served with a cheddar potato puree, asparagus, and Syrah sauce. $85.
Thomas Street Bistro 3pm–11pm
The menu’s the same as always, but if you bring Mom for dinner, she gets to eat and drink for free. Reservations recommended.
Tidbit Bistro 10am – 2pm
Eastlake’s Mediterranean hangout brings back brunch in honor of Mom. Menu items include a frittata arrotolata with ricotta, beschamel, ham, and mozzerella; the tortilla española with onions and potatoes; and the simple Americano—eggs, bacon, and sausage. Vegetarian and kid’s menus are also available. Individual items from $8; kids entrees $6; reservations recommended.
Tulio 8am–2pm
Chef Walter Pisano creates a special a la carte menu that includes regular breakfast items as well as added dishes, like creamy polenta with toasted walnuts and sliced pears, and ribeye steak with rosemary potatoes. Caffe Vita coffee and mimosas also available. Individual items from $9; reservations recommended.
Volunteer Park Café 10am–2pm
Choose between three delicious items: brioche French toast with ricotta, wild blackberries, and hazelnuts; poached halibut and asparagus salad; or mushroom and spinach baked eggs with potatoes and sausage. Housemade scones with butter and jam and non-alcoholic beverages are included. $26/adult, $10/child; reservations recommended.
