It seems the word is out on Seattle's newest oldest neighborhood. In addition to Velouria's recent relocation, Clementine packed up its West Seattle shop and made the move to Pioneer Square last month.
The bright and airy shoe store sits next to the equally bright and airy London Plane restaurant. In case you never made it across the bridge to the original Clementine, expect to find chunky, modern, comfortable shoes, plus independently made apparel and accessories.
To celebrate its new space, Clementine welcomes Guatemalan-made boots and shoes from Uxibal for a weekend-long trunk show. The brand, run by local gal Britini Port, works with Guatemalan women of Mayan descent, incorporating their handmade textiles and thereby giving jobs to some of the most underprivileged population in that country.
Shop Uxibal's beautiful boho designs through Sunday, November 9. And keep Clementine in mind for holiday shopping and personal perusing for all your practical fall footwear.
