The wheel-eating pothole on Washington Avenue that I wrote about on Monday has been filled. Kudos to the Seattle Department of Transportation for their quick response time. I returned to the pothole roughly 44 hours after reporting it and it was already patched up.

Since I first reported the pothole to SDOT, I've learned that any roadway hazard submitted to Cascade Bicycle Club's Bike Wise map/database will automatically be reported to the proper authority. It seems like a handy tool since the hazard not only gets reported to SDOT, but is also displayed on a map to warn other cyclists of its presence.
