Meatball Sandwich at Dot’s Butcher and Deli

Hooray for Miles James reviving his beloved meatery—in Pike Place Market, no less. Celebrate with meatballs sparking with chili flakes, dripping with red sauce, and housed in a perfect Grand Central bun.  —Allecia Vermillion

Za’atar Manaeesh at Mamnoon Street

All those folks clustered along the Amazon patch of Sixth Avenue are waiting for this: Mamnoon’s pillowy flatbread slathered with Middle Eastern spices, heaped with tomatoes and olives, lavished with herbs, and folded into portable—craveable—lunch.   —Kathryn Robinson

Open-Faced Juniper Lamb Sandwich at Old Ballard Liquor Co.

The Ballard aquavit distillery now serves a few traditional Scandinavian plates, like homemade rye bread piled with tender lamb that’s brined in baking spices and smoked over juniper. It’s the most improbably lovely thing you’ll ever eat surrounded by the apparatus of a tiny working distillery.  —AV

Caribbean Roast at Paseo’s New Location

Now fans can walk from the Clink to Seattle’s most famous sandwich, the Paseo no. 2— aioli, caramelized onions, pickled jalapeños, and fat hunks of marinated pork spilling out of a baguette. A game changer, no matter how the Seahawks perform.  —KR
