In what is a very Seattle (read: hipster adjacent) mashup, Cupcake Royale just churned out the sorbet equivalent of an urban farmer who brews his own kombucha under the kitchen sink. 

The bakery and ice creamery has been introducing new summertime flavors that, like the Seattle sun, only last for a limited time. Right now that would be a raspberry kombucha sorbet. It’s made with plump raspberries from Mount Vernon’s Schuh Farms and the fizzy-fermented element comes from the Central District’s Communitea Kombucha. Grab a bright pink scoop while you still can.

Another new flavor of note: their new roasted cardamom cherry. In cherry-rich Washington, Cupcake Royale sources these juicy gems from Roy Farms. They’re mixed with sugar, ground cardamom, and fresh citrus juice and zest, then oven roasted until caramelized. It’s pretty much PNW summer in a bite. This is another one of those blink-and-it’s-gone flavors, so scurry to any of Cupcake Royale’s six cafes to get a taste.
