The new Georgetown temple of grilled meats and good times opened June 22. Besides marinated meats aplenty, chill outside on the 2,500 square foot patio, or grab a whiskey frozen cocktail from Bar Ciudad.
West Seattle Brewing Co.
Speaking of patios, this brewery just opened a pretty sweet one on Alki Beach. Owner Drew Locke moved into and spruced up the former Slices and still serves pizza alongside a variety of brews.
Yep, it’s exactly as it sounds. This Portland-based bone broth cafe announced that it’ll be marching north to Olympia. An opening date has yet to be released, but winter is coming...and apparently soon broth.

In addition to its regular happy hour from 4 to 7, this Capitol Hill bar and its resident cheese peddler are adding daily “happy minutes”. From 6 to 6:30, bar happy minutes mean $1 Rainier and $1 shots of whiskey. And from 6:30 to 7, you can score elbow mac and cheese and cheese fries for $2 each.
The Old Sage
First sibling gastropub Spur in Belltown shuttered in April, now this Capitol Hill bar also folds, serving its final rounds of brown spirits last Friday.
2016 Washington Beer Awards
Over this past weekend, another round of state breweries took home accolades for their ales. Make a beer list, and you should probably drink it twice, for good measure.
12th Men Washington over, do not fret quite yet. While this Ballard brewery did announce on June 23 that it has been acquired by Odin’s Brewing, familiar Hilliard’s beers will still be produced at Odin’s Tukwila facility. The brewery, however, awaits new beer-making occupants.
