How Does Harvest Beat Compare to the Incomparable Sutra?

Let’s just say Seattle vegans aren’t being quiet about it.

For seven years, Sutra in Wallingford was Seattle’s vegetarian standard-bearer, offering vegan brilliance in five prix-fixe courses, astonishing no small number of omnivores along the way.

Then half of the ownership team—the half that cooked—moved to Leavenworth. So when the other half revived the concept in a new place, under a new name—Harvest Beat—a whole lot of fans wondered if the reincarnated version would offer even half the joy of the original.
