Green Leaf Owners Open Alicia Fusion Bistro in Leschi

The menu's way different (don't worry, there's pho).

The family behind longtime International District favorite Green Leaf (and its great new Belltown spinoff) just opened a third place at the Leschi Marina.

As the name implies, Alicia Fusion Bistro doesn't have the same expansive menu of traditional Vietnamese dishes. And as the name outright explains, it's pretty fusiony.

Sure, there's pho and vermicelli bowls and banh mi. But the lineup here also includes beef tartare, guacamole served with shrimp chips, oysters dressed in a kimchi puree, roast carrots with avocado and ngoc cham, and a burger with pickled cucumbers and lime aioli.

Dishes are divided into sea, land, and earth sections. Here's a copy of the opening week menu, though it's obviously subject to change.

The restaurant is open seven days a week from lunch to late night, much like its Belltown sibling. Lunch offerings stick to the basics—pho, banh mi, rice and noodle bowls, and the burger—but there's a dedicated bar menu for the dedicated bar space by the front door. It's 20 percent off at happy hour, from 3 to 6.

Alicia is named for owner Peter Kuang's daughter; the actual street address is 200 Lake Washington Blvd, a pocket of  the city that has precious few restaurants; its arrival is a bit of a bright spot after the recent shutterings of Catfish Corner and Pritty Boys Pizza up the hill. Kuang is still working out the specific hours, so check the Facebook page for current info; a dedicated Alicia Fusion Bistro website is on the way.
