Tilth Seventh Anniversary Barbecue
This popup dinner from chef Maria Hines was announced just last week, and we’ve been dreaming about barbecue and bourbon ever since. In celebration of Tilth’s seventh anniversary, Hines is planning a four-course event consisting of 11 family-style dishes that promise Carolina-style pulled-pork sliders and corn crème brulee with candied bacon. There’s a barbecue-friendly bourbon cocktail in the works, too. Call Tilth at 206-633-0801 to reserve your $45 ticket.
Blues for Food Fest
Bring the whole family to Magnuson Park Auditorium for this all day affair of live blues tunes, food vendor faves like Where Ya At Matt, and kid-friendly activities. Tickets are $20 in advance and young'uns under 16 are free. Proceeds benefit P-Patch Trust, local food banks, and the Washington Blues Society.
MONDAY, September 2
Free Burger Celebration at Lil Woody’s
Li’l Woody’s is turning 2 (aww) and they’re celebrating with free burgers for all. Stop by one of their two locations on Capitol Hill or Ballard between 2 and 5 for yours.
Monday Movies at King’s Hardware: Predator
King’s has been on its game this summer, with back patio showings of classics like Anaconda, White Boyz, and every so-bad-its-good movie in between. And because King's delivers only the best, September is the month of Schwarzenegger. Kicking things off is 1987's Predator, a film about an extraterrestrial creature sent to earth to hunt humans for sport. Hasta la vista, mankind.
TUESDAY, September 3
