Belgianfest
As the title implies, this massive annual beer festival features Belgian-style ales from about 40 different Washington breweries. Some of these breweries don’t typically make Belgian-style beers for their regular lineup, so now is the time to be the cool person who drinks limited-edition brews. There’s also an impressive list of food vendors to help you with your second wind. Belgianfest tickets are $35. More details at Washington Beer.
Creole and Cajun Cooking Class with Green Plate Special
We’re still reeling from Kingfish Cafe’s closure, but chef Jemil Aziz Johnson of his eponymous Jemil’s Big Easy food truck offers some solace in the Green Plate Special teaching kitchen. Learn to make classic creole and Cajun dishes like jambalaya and crawfish etouffée. Though Green Plate Special is a nonprofit for youth cooking and gardening programs (to which a portion of the proceeds will go toward), this is for adults 21 and over. Class runs from 3 to 6pm, and tickets are $40 per person.

Visiting Italian winemaker Giorgio Rivetti of La Spinetta wines will be present to chat vino throughout the four-course meal. There will be cold-smoked Albacore tuna crudo, brown butter ravioli with goat cheese, and roast leg of lamb to name a few—all of which beg for a glass of Nebbiolo or Barolo. Dinner is at 6:30pm and is $115 per person.

Tickets are just $45 per person.
