Northwest Center Foundation hosted its second annual “The Derby” event at SoDo Park, where more than 200 donors raised over $240,000. The foundation helps to sustain and grow innovative programs serving children and adults of all abilities, building opportunities for inclusion throughout our Puget Sound community. The Kentucky Derby theme inspired patrons to dress the part, donning artful hats and colorful spring attire. Guests enjoyed mint juleps, Southern food, and Kentucky bluegrass music performed by local band Pickled Okra. Proceeds benefit Northwest Center Kids, providing early intervention, inclusive early learning programs, teen programs, and after school programs serving children with and without disabilities.
