Tabor 100 is an association of entrepreneurs and business advocates committed to economic power, educational excellence and social equity for African-Americans and the community at large.
Tabor 100 was inspired by the dedication, passion and commitment of Mr. Langston Tabor, a renowned advocate for the African-American community of Seattle. Langston’s legacy of leadership and passion for the enhancement of the economic, educational and political advancement of African-Americans continues to thrive. Tabor 100 was created as a grassroots organization, designed to facilitate economic empowerment. This legacy continues through the passion and dedication of those who are members and partners of Tabor 100 today.
Tabor 100 is a connecting link between existing organizations, enhancing communication and coordination of existing programs and capacities. They vigorously advocate for minority business interests to the benefit of their members and the community. Tabor 100 also identifies youth interested in professional careers for the purpose of providing mentoring, scholarship or motivational assistance, leadership and development. The dedicated and disciplined membership extends to each other the highest levels of trust and integrity.
Tabor 100 recently launched the Black Business Equity Fund (BBEF) to fight the “twin pandemics” of systemic racism and COVID-19 with a goal of raising $1.5 million per year for the next three years. The BBEF will allocate $750,000 to seed a new cash grant program supporting Black-owned businesses during the pandemic and the remaining $750,000 to fund training, technical assistance, programming and organizational capacity for Tabor 100 and the Tabor Economic Development Hub.
