Free Pronto Street Skills Class

Have you seen the Pronto kiosks popping up around the city? Are you ready to welcome this brave new world of bike sharing? Fact is, many new Pronto users may not be the most skilled riders, particularly in downtown streets. If you are one of these people, there is no shame in it. Cascade Bicycle Club wants to be your Sherpa.

The public class will cover basics such as choosing the best bike route, how to ride safely in vehicle traffic, even how to fit your helmet properly. You'll be zipping around like a stressed out bike messenger in no time.

Free Pronto Street Skills Class, Wed, Oct 22, 12–1pm, Idea Space, 409 Maynard Ave S. Suite P8, Free

Jim Dwyer: Protecting Internet Privacy

In his book More Awesome Than Money, Pulitzer Prize winning author Jim Dwyer explores the rise and fall of a tech startup's effort to protect personal information from Facebook. Come to Town Hall to hear Dwyer weigh in on the future of internet privacy and the realities of commercial surveillance.
