Morning Fizz Part 2: State Campaign Edition

By Erica C. Barnett April 2, 2012

A double shot of extra fizz today.

First, Perkins Coie attorney Cyrus Habib---a Democratic candidate for the 48th District state house seat in the Microsoft suburbs being vacated by Deb Eddy, who's retiring---netted the endorsements of two prominent Democrats: former US congressman Jay Inslee, who's running for governor, and current congressman Adam Smith, D-WA (9).

Habib has raised just over $79,000; his only opponent so far has not reported any contributions.

And King County Council member Bob Ferguson, who's running for attorney general, reportedly raised $101,289 at his kickoff breakfast last week. Overall, Ferguson reports raising $564,145, with $361,879 on hand; his Republican opponent, King County Council member Reagan Dunn, reports raising $621,849, with $387,854 on hand.
