The Latest from Ethan Stowell Will Be Derby in SoDo

And oh hey—it'll share a space with a luxury car club.

By Rosin Saez March 2, 2017

From the restaurant power duo that is Ethan and Angela Stowell comes a new way to dine, that is, while ogling luxury cars. Dubbed Derby, it'll serve American classics—BLTs, cobb salads, burgers—alongside classic cars.

Beyond those classics though, there will be some Ethan Stowell standards: a handful of pastas, oysters, and crudos. As for drinks, the wine list will pull mainly from the Northwest, while a full bar will have a cocktail lineup of bourbon and scotch–based libations.

Derby will be open to the public, but located inside The Shop, a 36,500 square-foot brainchild from Matt Bell, a Seattle native and tech executive with a penchant for cars and motorcycles. This new car club will house indoor storage, repairs bays, valet service, classes, and anything else a car enthusiast could want...like an Ethan Stowell restaurant, where diners can have a view of luxury and classic cars while they eat.

The Shop and Derby therein aim to open this spring at 2233 Sixth Avenue South. And when it does, hours will be 11 to 11 daily, with happy hour and weekend brunch too. More updates as we have them.
