Tini Bigs’s 20th Anniversary Party
Big ups to Tini Bigs celebrating two decades on a corner spot in Lower Queen Anne, serving up cocktails and big martinis to thirsty locals and visitors alike. But alas, the cocktail lounge, which marks its 7,311st consecutive day of business on December 7, will become a six-story mixed-use building and thus prepares for its literal last call on January 1. But first: a big-ass party. From 4 until the wee morning hours, celebrate Tini Bigs’s 20th anniversary with 50 percent of all food, wine, and spirits.

Sun, Dec 11
Winter Feast Holiday Bazaar
Holiday shopping at the year-round Fremont Sunday Market can be...nippy. Ward off chills with street food from over 20 food trucks: Look for glazed goodness from Otto Doughnut—passion fruit poppy or beer and bacon perhaps—then there’s the famous fish and chips from Nosh, pretzel sandwiches from Anchor End’s vintage trailer, sweet and savory stuffed waffles, or taiyaki, from BeanFish, and much more. Shop and eat from 10 to 4.

Sun, Dec 11
Morning Star Brunch Popup
Chef Tarik Abdullah is at it again with another Mediterranean-leaning brunch at The Royal Room in Columbia City. And like the Russian nesting doll of popups, local makers and artisans will be popping up post-brunch with a slew of goods for holiday gifting. To eat though: expect dishes like chamomile pancakes with a persimmon-apple compote, zucchini bread coated with a chamomile-rose glaze, and more savory plates like prawn and rockfish cake with lentils and yellow squash, and braised lamb with dates, chickpeas, injera breadcrumbs, and grits. Brunch starts at 10, while the popup market opens at 11.

Mon, Dec 12
Cambodian-Filipino Popup Dinner at Kraken Congee
Within the subterranean walls of this Pioneer Square restaurant, magical popups happen, like this upcoming one from chef Jeriel Calamayan of Pokewai and chef Anita Chhun of Kirirom. And you guys, this Cambodian-Filipino family-style dinner sounds so good: whole, fried snapper with green papaya with chili fish sauce or tamarind sauce, pork belly braised in soy sauce and calamansi (a sweet citrus fruit from Asia), duck leg with red curry and fresh bamboo, pancit noodles naturally, and more. Oh, and for dessert, cassava cake with coconut cream—a popular treat during the holiday season. One catch: Tickets are only available in sets of four for a total of $185. See the Facebook event page for ticket info and more details.

Tue, Dec 13
Roasted Chicken Dinner at Ciudad
Winner, winner, chicken dinner...at this new Georgetown eatery. Every Tuesday this month, Chef Nick Coffey, who knows a thing or five about succulent meat and flavorful accompaniments, will put on a family-style roasted chicken dinner at Ciudad. Chicken, rubbed with herbs and spices, will be accompanied by dirty rice, wedge salad, and root vegetables cooked in said chicken’s fat.  Tickets are just $25 per person.

Tue, Dec 13
Juicebox Cauldron Dinner
Nope, no craggy crones toiling over a bubbling cauldron here. Instead, this dinner takes place on Capitol Hill in the Juicebox’s delightfully botanical and airy digs on the evening of a full moon. In honor of the hunter’s moon, chef Heather Logan is preparing an entirely vegetarian three-course feast: mixed baby greens with shaved fennel, winter citrus, with a pomander vinaigrette; cailleach soup with kale, leeks, and heirloom potatoes; and a dessert of ginger and sea salt chocolate bark. Oh, and plenty of wine. Tickets are $45 and dinner commences at 6:30.
