Rough Draft No. 4 Dinner Party
Within the sustainably curated walls of Capitol Hill’s Nube Green shop will be an equally sustainable and seasonal seven-course dinner party. Start with dishes like a fresh sturgeon roll and an heirloom tomato salad with ricotta and radicchio. Dungeness crab and black cod served with purple shiso and yuzu mark the midway point, while the dinner ends with goat cheese with huckleberry, and matcha custard with summer berries. There will also be handcrafted coffee via Shovel and Stone popup coffee bar. Tickets are $60.

Build Your Own Shake at Li’l Woody’s
Not just any shake, these towering monuments of ice cream plus piles of toppings are known as Freak Shakes, Mega Milkshakes, or Insane Shakes and for $10 you can make a custom creation from 1 to 6 at Li’l Woody’s in Ballard. The event will have a milkshake bar with ice cream from Full Tilt; flavors include birthday cake, ube, Sub Pop coffee, vegan vanilla, and more. Top your Frankensteinian treat with a buffet of Oreos, Kit Kats, brownies, or marshmallows.

Bacon, Eggs, and Kegs Brunch Fest
As the name suggests, there will be breakfast foods and there will be booze, the combination of which is otherwise known as brunch. But brunch on this scale requires that this two-day event is held at CenturyLink Field. There will be 30-foot bloody Mary bars, Irish coffee bars, mimosas, craft beer and cider from PNW favorites, boozy root beer floats, and eggs and bacon aplenty.  Play oversized yard games like duffleboard or minigolf from Flatstick Pub or get a photo with a giant inflatable skillet; the latter may be best enjoyed after seeing to that bloody Mary bar. Bacon, Eggs, and Kegs will go from 11 to 3 this weekend and tickets are $40, they include baby taster steins for adult beverages and 12 tasting tokens.

Belltown Crush Block Party
Third year’s a charm: This al fresco party has grown to two full city blocks of live music, food trucks, plus 25 local wineries and breweries. And there will be a whole roasted pig from Bell and Whete for good meaty measure. The Belltown Block Party is 1 to 5 and tickets, which include 10 tasting tickets, are $25.

Cafe Da Sua Festival
The 6th annual Celebrate Little Saigon event tips a hat to the humble Vietnamese iced coffee, or cafe da sua. This eastern pocket of the International District will have Vietnamese street food, an outdoor beer garden, a pho eating contest (yup, a real thing), plus desserts inspired by the titular beverage: Vietnamese coffee cheesecake from Hood Famous Bakeshop and Vietnamese coffee ice cream macaron sandwich. The festival runs from 1 to 7 this Sunday.

Ticket Alert: SparkleFest at Old Chaser Farm
The first of apparently many wine fairs over at Matt Dillon’s small farm on Vashon Island will happen Sunday, September 4, from 1 to 6. Bar Ferdinand and Old Chaser Farm will host crafts and games for kids, and there will be wood-fired pizzas, roasted lamb, and glass upon glass of bubbly. Sample wines and wares from venerable purveyors too. Tickets are $50, includes food and drink, while kids’ tickets are $10.
