A Drink for Vera
If you’re having a drink this week, it might as well be in the spirit of charity. For three days, three local watering holes will host free events to raise money for the all ages music and arts venue, The Vera Project. First up: Linda’s Tavern will have live DJ sets, raffles, and drink specials beginning at 5pm on Thursday. Friday, Saint John’s Bar and Eatery will be doing the same, also at 5pm. And Saturday from 2 until 10, Hilliard’s—the only all ages event in this lineup—will celebrate with both live DJs and live music, plus raffles of course. No tickets required, just a liver ready to do good.

Music, Food, and Beer at Sisters and Brothers’ Parking Lot Party
The Georgetown hot spot slinging Nashville hot chicken is hosting an all-day hootenanny. From 11 to 2, Sisters and Brothers will be debuting their brunch inside the restaurant. You can kick start your morning with the famously spicy hot chicken served with waffles. There will be happy hour from 2 to 4, and the usual dinner service from 4 to 10. Meanwhile outside, the parking lot party will have the grill going all day and night accompanied by an outdoor beer garden quenching thirsts until 11pm. DJs and live bands Bread and Butter, Stallion, The Knast, and Brain Drain will be providing the musical backdrop to your hot chicken meat sweats.

Bar Ferdinand’s Rosé Release Party
Now that rosé is in bloom, it’s time to get festive in Capitol Hill. Lower Bar Ferdinand at Melrose Market is hosting their second annual rosé release party, and this time with the launch of their own private label rosé. The Bar Ferdinand team collaborated with Madrona’s Locus Wines for this blush beverage and celebrates the release from noon to 6 this Sunday. Expect meaty snacks from Rain Shadow Meats, brunch and bar offerings from Sitka and Spruce, music, and...aerialists because why not? Wear something pink to deduct a buck from your wine by the glass purchases. Tickets are $12.
