A Pig Roast and Pink Wine at Vif
Summertime calls for whole, roasted pig and the oenophiles at Fremont’s Vif are pairing it with equally seasonal rosès. In its third year, this Pig Roast and Pink Wine party goes from 5 to 9, with plates of pork being served between 5 and 6 until gone. Meanwhile, there will be a rosè tasting of Vif’s favorites from this season. And they’ll even pour something pink for any little ones too.

Northwest Seafood Dinner
The events venue meets winery meets experimental kitchen, known as The Kitchen By Delicatus, is going full Pacific Northwest this Friday. In his eight-course lover letter to PNW seafood, chef/owner Derek Shankland is serving local albacore tuna with sticky rice and tempura, large neck clams with broth and herbs, smoked mussel salad with housemade pancetta, and more from the Puget Sound region. Cocktails start at 7, dinner at 7:30, and tickets are $65.

The 11th Annual Washington Brewer’s Festival
Rain or shine, the Washington Beer Commission is yet again filling up Marymoor Park with brewers and beer lovers. This year, with over 110 breweries attending, look forward to over 500 craft beers, ciders, and yes, even a rootbeer garden for kiddos and designated drivers on Saturday and Sunday. From a cranberry saison from Bellingham’s Aslan brewing to an award-winning Berliner weisse sour from Pullman’s Paradise Creek Brewery, there will be no shortage of beer, or food for that matter. Food trucks Nosh, Bread and Circuses, Snout and Co., and more will keeping you on your feet all festival long. Friday, the beering begins at 4:30 until 9, while Saturday the event is 11 to 9, and Sunday it’s 11:30 to 5. Tickets are $30.

Block Party at The Station
This Beacon Hill cafe, or community hub rather, is quickly becoming known for its annual hip-hip and arts festival. This free event from noon to 8, celebrates its diverse community and serves up plenty of diverse food as well. Check out dishes from the Filipino popup Food and Sh*t, desserts from Hood Famous Bakeshop, jerk chicken from Jamaican Island Cuisine, southern barbecue from Neema’s Comfort, and more. Meanwhile in Ballard, this microdistillery, which opened last April, is celebrating the official start of summer. From 6 to 10, head to Our/Seattle Vodka’s tasting room for snacks, vodka-based drinks, and music via DJ, which may or may not be vodka-bassed as well. (Sorry.)
