If you’re knocking on the doors of Steak n’ Shake hoping to grab a Frisco melt today, you’re not alone.

However the new downtown location at 1417 Third Ave—the Midwestern-based fast food chain's first foray into Washington state—wasn't quite ready in time for its anticipated May 16 open. The restaurant will likely open the week of May 23rd, says franchisee Joe Fernandez. He's just waiting on some final permits.
