Legalize Marinara at Big Mario’s Pizza
The unofficial weed “holiday” is here and this pizzeria knows a thing or two about stoner food. For the baked heading to Big Mario’s in Queen Anne, the pizzeria has baked some special pies: one named Show Me Your Tots will, you guessed it, be topped with tater tots, another dubbed El Dorito combines two munchies into a single crave-satisfying bite, and the Cereal Killa is “a medley of your favorite breakfast cereals atop a classic cheese pie.” Nailed it. Meanwhile, at Big Mario’s in Capitol Hill, there will be drink deals and swag, plus you can get 20 percent off if you merely say that you’re high.

Oyster Happy Hour at RN74
The perfect pair: booze and bivalves. In addition to its usual happy hour, the Downtown restaurant is hosting a special happy hour this Thursday, from 4 to 7 featuring $2 Taylor Shellfish oysters and $6 cocktails. And if you like Ketel One or Tanquerey–based martinis, you’ll get a complimentary oyster with your drink order. The usual RN74 suspects will still be available as well, such as duck fat French fries with rosemary and garlic, bacon and sweet corn hushpuppies, and black truffle butter popcorn.
Veg Out Seattle
Herbivore comrades Mackenzie DeVito of No Bones About It and Kelli Bielema, Shindig Events owner and lead producer, are teaming up with Whole Foods to put on the ultimate plant-based food festival. While Meatless Mondays are all good and fun, Veg Out Seattle will be a full-fledged vegan event—though of course anyone who likes delicious food should go—with music, chef demonstrations, food samples aplenty, and cooking competitions; it all goes down at 6. Tickets range from $40 to $75.

Arcade Lights at Pike Place Market
Avoid the tourists this Friday evening and walk Seattle’s oldest market after hours. Arcade Lights is a craft food, beer, and wine tasting festival with over 70 local chocolatiers, brewers, bakers, fermenters, and more. Honest Biscuits, Piroshky Piroshky, Storyville Coffee Company, Snoqualmie Ice Cream, and the very recently opened Old Stove Brewing will be some of the many vendors at the event. Tickets, which are $60, include unlimited food and nonalcoholic drink, plus five tokens for local beer, wine, and spirits.

Washington Beer Collaboration Festival
Like Peaches and Herb, Sonny and Cher, R. Kelly and Celine Dion...this event is the beer version of a duet, but with notes of chocolate, spices, and citrus. The Washington Beer Commission is hosting this beer festival of collabs from 50 local breweries this weekend at the South Lake Union Discovery Center lawn. Expect fun mashups like the Thai Me Up lager from Diamond Knot and Scuttlebutt Brewing which is brewed with jasmine rice and infused with lemongrass, galangal root, and kaffir lime leaves. On Friday, the beering begins at 4:30 until 8:30, while the festival runs from noon to 6 on Saturday.
