Galentine’s Day Brunch with Nuflours
The lady-led gluten-free bakery is hosting its first brunch a la Leslie Knope at the Barrel Thief in Fremont. Since Nuflours is on the smaller side, the bar lends its space—all the more room for making inspirational boards—and its proximity to late morning booze for the Parks and Recreation–inspired event. From 10 to 1, expect a lot of crafts, prizes, and intense friendship bonding over a tasty brunch spread sans gluten: zucchini cardamom waffles, pear cardamom bars, quiche, avocado toast, and more. Tickets are $30. See the event page for more details.

Lunar New Year $3 Food Walk
Perhaps hop on the First Hill streetcar to the International District (fare is still free through Feb 15) and usher in the year of the monkey via cultural performances and, of course, a lot of food from 11am to 4. Over 30 neighborhood restaurants will be serving $3 eats for the Lunar New Year festival: think sweet pepper and garlic chicken wings, dim sum samplers, pan-fried pork dumplings, Singapore rice noodles, and more. And as though you needed motivation to eat more than five items (or any less than 10, let’s be real), those who do are eligible to win roundtrip plane tickets or tickets to Stevens Pass mountain resort; see the event website for more information.

My Bloody Valentine, A Popup Dinner
If, like the rest of us, you’re head is spinning with all the Valentine’s Day prix fixe menus, then you may want to check out this popup at Elsom Cellars in SoDo. While still technically a Valentine’s Day dinner, this popup is for both couples and non-couples alike with a family-style service and communal seating. As for the Asian and Spanish–influenced meal itself: lamb carpaccio with Spanish cheese and blood orange, braised pork cheek, paella of kabocha squash with sweet longaniza sausage, and wine pairing by Elsom Cellars. There will be two evening seatings at 6 and 8:30. Tickets are $80.
