You won't find it on the menu, but if you hit up any Molly Moon's location around town and ask for a "Molly's Favorite Vegan," the staff will know what you mean—a sundae of vegan coconut ice cream topped with a chocolate sauce (cold, and also vegan), plus candied hazelnuts and a coconut whipped cream made completely without dairy.

This covert offering was born of a most prosaic reason: The ice cream shop's chalkboard menus are only big enough to accommodate two permanent sundaes. So when owner Molly Moon Neitzel and crew conceived this vegan sundae, they decided to make it the company's first "secret" menu item...rather like ordering something animal style from In-N-Out Burger. Minus any actual animal, of course.
