Brace Yourself for a Big Month of Restaurant Openings

A test spin on the custom grill, soon to be part of the Miller's Guild.
The restaurant opening updates are coming fast and furious this week. Normally I don't invest too much time in these moving targets until food is on the verge of being served. But however the final dates shake out, November is going to be insane.
Matthew Lewis's Roux didn't quite make its October 25 opening target, so it's in any-day-now mode. And Aragona, Jason Stratton's much-heralded Spanish outing at First and Union, is aiming for "early November."
Then Manu Alfau of La Bodega sent word that he's opening November 15. So is Michael Law, over at Bourbon and Bones. Capitol Hill Seattle blog says Juicebox is looking at November 11ish, and Hollywood Tavern might start plying the good people of Woodinville with cheeseburgers and housemade soft serve as early as next week.
Oh, and then there's Altstadt, also gunning to open in the second week of November.
It's not technically November, but Jason Wilson's meaty new endeavor the Miller's Guild is projecting an early December debut. I briefly made the acquaintance of Wilson's custom wood-burning grill at a preview event last night (the restaurant is still under construction, but it was cranked up on the top of Hotel Max, under careful surveillance by a few friendly firefighters).
I can be a broken record on this front, but remember that all of these dates are subject to change. And likely to change. But brace yourself for a wave of new places to eat as we roll into the final weeks of the year.
