What local chef could say no to this face?

When Tom Douglas isn’t busy winning James Beard awards or opening new restaurants , he’s involved with the Macy’s Culinary Council. And tomorrow night, May 30, the organization’s Great American Chefs Tour kicks off in Seattle.

What does this mean, exactly? It means that Douglas has invited chefs Matt Dillon, Holly Smith, Jerry Traunfeld, and Renee Erickson to the Palace Ballroom to tape cooking segments for a new public television show called—didn’t see this one coming—The Great American Chefs Tour. Devin Alexander, author of The Biggest Loser Cookbook series will host.

If watching some of the best chefs in the city make like Julia Child is something you might be into, tickets to the 6pm taping are $25 apiece, and on sale over here. Proceeds benefit Food Lifeline.

The 26-episode series will reportedly air on public television channels around the country in September.
