Miles James takes to Facebook to announce his Fremont eatery and butcher shop, Dot’s Delicatessen, is looking to open on July 27. James also posted that Scott and Tanya Emerick, onetime owners and operators of the erstwhile Crémant, have signed on to work at the Fremont Avenue spot. Chances are the last you heard of those two, it was concerning a nasty lawsuit with Mike McConnell, who had become involved with the bistro in early 2009.
James, whose resume includes stints at Gramercy Tavern in New York City, Pike Place Market’s Campagne, the late Union, and Lecosho —was once the sous chef at their Madrona restaurant. Most recently James operated the very popular Seattle Sausage Company cart.
When Dot’s does open, James says to expect “good, high-end stuff. But not overfussed.” Slated for the menu are house-made sausages, terrines, frites, and pates, plus local cuts of meats. Click here for more on Dot’s Delicatessen.
