With the turning trees and falling leaves I always start jonesing for pumpkin. Who’s serving it?

Hey Pete,
Depends on how you’re jonesing to eat it. Pumpkin’s on the menu right now at pizzeria (and Seattle Metropolitan Top 10 Restaurants pick winner) Serious Pie, where the appetizers are as terrific as the pizzas and this one sounds like a corker: Roasted pumpkin with arugula pesto and hazelnuts. Talk about the soul of autumn.
For pumpkin soup, you could head for the swanky white Urbane, where a version of pumpkin soup with tempura apple is one of the appetizer choices in this month’s Urban Eats promotion. Or, for a more casual nibble, beeline it for Capitol Hill’s come-as-you-are Hopvine Pub and hope its legendary Southwest pumpkin soup is on the card. All of Hopvine’s soups are noteworthy; this one’s sensational.
If it’s dessert you’re wanting, visit Flying Fish in Belltown for this creation: Pumpkin brown butter cake with pumpkin cheesecake, a pumpkin seed sable cookie, and white chocolate syrup.
