Tweeting while dining just became acceptable (and encouraged) at El Gaucho in Bellevue, where the first ever “Taste and Tweet Event” was held for Gaucho’s Twitter followers. Last Wednesday, the old-school steakhouse went new-school when they invited diners to sample a luncheon menu and tweet about it to friends and followers, in an effort to reach out to new guests. The event was apparently a first of many to come, so tune in to El Gaucho’s Twitter feed for the next event date. Dining out is hereby a public event, so if you find yourself at El Gaucho in the coming weeks surrounded by Tweeters with thumbs flying, you’ll know what’s up.
