South Lake Union Farmers Market

Debuts today

By Kathryn Robinson June 25, 2009

Cascade Farmers Market opens today in South Lake Union.

From 3pm to 7pm this afternoon (and every Thursday through September 24), look to Pontius Ave N, between Thomas and Harrison for just-plucked fruits and vegetables and more.

It’ll be another selling venue for Pike Place Market farmers, including Tiny’s Organics (plums, peaches, cherries, pluots), Martin Family Orchards (apricots, pears, apples), Hayton Farms (berries), and Baird Orchards (potatoes and garlic).

Pike Place Market farmers are also behind the diminutive new Tuesday 10am-2pm farmers market at City Hall Plaza, which opened this week on Fourth Avenue between James and Cherry.
