One of Seattle's favorite sons is down a job. E! has canceled Joel McHale's long-running comedic clip fest The Soup (presumably to replace it with a vapid garbage reality show about a Kardashian second cousin or something). But weep not for the the former Community star and devout Seahawks fan. He's sure to find plenty of work in the acting world (he's already shot an arc for the upcoming The X-Files reboot), and the loss of a gig also means he can dedicate more time to standup. Case in point, the master of the charmingly snide comedic delivery returns home for a standup date at the Paramount Theatre on Friday, February 19.

Tickets for Joel McHale at the Paramount Theatre go on sale Friday, December 11 at 10am via stgpresents.org or by phone at 877-784-4849. Seats run $49–$59.

In other funny former TV hosts news, Craig Ferguson has also planned a Seattle standup date. The deposed leader of The Late Late Show brings a much edgier (un-FCC regulated) brand of comedy to his live shows, and fans will have a chance to check it out at the Neptune Theatre on Saturday, March 19. Geoff Peterson is not scheduled to attend.

Tickets for Craig Ferguson at the Neptune Theatre go on sale Friday, December 11 at 10am via stgpresents.org or by phone at 877-784-4849. Tickets cost $50.
