FASHION GLOSSIES HAVE had a thing for Seattle lately. W spotlighted local designers twice and Vogue dedicated a spread to the city. And while WEAR WHAT WHEN is all for the exposure, one can’t help but roll an eye at Vogue’s suggested pairing of Teva sandals with a Balenciaga jacket. Come on, Anna, everyone knows we prefer Patagonia.

Other things we prefer: comfort food, or at least Capitol Hill does. NOSH PIT ’s reporting that Lucky 8 will open in October on 14th and Union prompted one reader to beg, “Pleeease have some healthier options”, adding that the nabe is laden with “ridiculous amounts of meat and cream and grease.” Wait, that’s a bad thing?

On SAUCED, another commenter took issue with the branding of Jamie Boudreau’s bar, Canon, likely opening next month: “Canon—with a cannon logo? If you ask for a noncanon drink, does the management reserve the right to shoot you out of their canon cannon?” Somebody pour that guy a stiff one.
