Hilliard's Beer Adds Brunch

And it's not just beer for breakfast and lunch; Danielle Custer's new Biscuit Box will be there, serving up biscuits and shortcake.

This looks like all the brunch you need, but starting this Saturday, Hilliard's Beer will offer biscuits and coffee too. Image via Hillard's Facebook page.

Hilliard's Beer's Ballard tasting room has become a popular spot to down a pint or seven and sample food truck fare on Friday and Saturday nights, but the main attraction now has an excellent supplement for the morning after. Starting this Saturday, The Biscuit Box (one of the 13 new food trucks we're excited about) and Mmmhmm Coffee will peddle their wares at Hilliard's from 11 am to 3 pm every weekend through the end of September.

They're calling it Coffee, Beer, and Breaky, so one can be certain the taps will be flowing alongside Biscuit Box's warm, doughy creations and Mmmhmm's fresh-brewed coffee. Cans and pints have been just $4 since Hilliard's opened, and the biscuits and drip fall on the cheaper end of the spectrum as well. Most importantly, the biscuits come from the mind of Danielle Custer— known best for her fondly-missed Monte Cristo grilled cheese truck— and therefore should be excellent. We trust her spatula more than most.
