Elliott Bay Trail

Shore Ride
Elliott Bay Trail

Gets You From Magnolia to Downtown

Best Traveled By foot or bicycle around sunset

Road Blocks The route through Myrtle Edwards Park boasts not one but two protected, paved trails, though adding a 2-mile jaunt south to the SoDo area means sections of unprotected lanes next to Alaskan Way.

Stops and Sights The ride from Smith Cove Park in Magnolia to the downtown waterfront has such spectacular Elliott Bay views, you hardly need the other sights: the Centennial Park rose garden, fishing pier, grain terminal, and the Olympic Sculpture Park adjacent to Myrtle Edwards. Choose your dining reward—an
outdoor pint at Paddy Coyne’s Irish Pub or steamed mussels at Aqua. paddycoynes.net, elgaucho.com/aqua-by-el-gaucho.html
