On October 10, the Seattle Aquarium’s SeaChange breakfast raised over $134,000. Jim Wharton, the Aquarium’s director of conservation and education, spoke passionately about the Aquarium’s next, bold chapter in fostering an emerging ocean ethic. Award-winning National Geographic photographer Brian Skerry delivered the keynote address, Ocean Soul, sharing his gripping portrait of the ocean as a place of beauty and mystery, a place in trouble and ultimately, a place of hope that will rebound with the proper attention and care.
