At Green Lake Park on September 28, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk raised more than $417,000. Friends, families and co-workers formed fundraising teams and consumers helped by donating at retail stores. These efforts culminated in an inspirational evening event where Champions For Cures carried illuminated balloons. Walkers formed a community of caring, and brought light to the dark world of cancer. LLS is making cures happen by providing patient support services, advocacy for lifesaving treatments and the most promising cancer research anywhere. And it’s all happening now. Not someday, today.
