WHAT: In case you aren't as planetarily minded as some of us (i.e. no one judge my crystal/astrology book/zodiac obsessions), you may or may not know about Mercury retrograde and its ability to truly wreak some havoc on your day. What is actually happening: the planet Mercury rotates at a slower than normal pace, making it appear to turn backwards, or retrograde. What is cosmically happening: Mercury is "in charge" of communication, technology, contracts, transportation, etc. So when the planet turns retrograde, all of those areas risk falling out of whack.

Lucky for us, Seattle astrologer Stephanie Gailing of Planetary Apothecary is setting up at SugarPill for 15-minute astrology readings focused on how to make Mercury's three-week discord work in favor of your individual life. Get insight and tools on how to use the period to enhance mental focus and creativity—and take home a little inspiration as Gailing worked with SugarPill owner Karyn Schwartz to design an exclusive floral blend to work with the event (even if you don't believe in any of this, Schwartz's floral elixirs are nevertheless dreamy).

WHEN: Call SugarPill to make an appointment for a session on September 17 (the first day of retrograde) from 4:30 to 8:30. Readings are $30.
