IDRS 15 Files #1: What Designer Daniel Ressa Is Crushing On
This year marks the fourth year of the Independent Designer Runway Show at Bellevue Fashion Week and in the run up to the event on September 23 we are delving into the lives and styles of the eight local independent designers who have been chosen to showcase their creations.
First up in our IDRS15 Files series is Daniel Ressa.
Modern, edgy, and comfortable springs to mind when you think of Daniel Ressa’s work. His diverse palette of textures and cozy yet sharp silhouettes led him to win awards for Designer of the Year and Best Editorial Collection at this year’s Art Institute of Seattle fashion show. Inspired by the positive feeling people get when wearing his clothes, Ressa's work is elegant, simplistic, and soft—no easy feat when you are working with heavy textures like leather, canvas, and suede.
