WHAT: In what we hope becomes the next big shopping trend, two of our favorite Pioneer Square boutiques host a Saturday shopping event sponsored by online store Garmentory full of cocktails, merriment, and—the important part, we guess—two Brooklyn-based designers in town for this special trunk show.
First, Brookes Boswell brings her namesake millinery line of beautiful made-to-order hats currently sold at E. Smith. The designer will be on hand for custom fittings for both men and women. Preview the spring/summer 2015 collection online (someone put us down for that Boro topper).
Next up, Nina Berenato of Psyche jewelry will roll out her eccentric baubles (we'll take an ear cuff, please). The designer focuses on uncommon shapes with truly unique results. All Psyche pieces will be available at 20 percent off during the trunk show, and Berenato will be floating around to chat geometric space jewelry and Norse-inspired knuckle rings.
WHEN: On Saturday, July 11, start the party at E. Smith from 2 to 5. Spend $50 with either designer and the bar/boutique will offer you a complimentary cocktail (if you're legal, that is). Then, from 5:30 to 8:30 follow the crew to Velouria for drinks and snacks, plus a chance to meet with Adele Tetangco, the cofounder of Garmentory.
