You can thank Alyssa Volpigno for this edition of #IOTM. I spotted the Shop Talk contributor rocking a Rraor bandanna all Diana Vreeland style, and it’s now number one on my list of must-haves for this summer/fall/every season.

Just launched last week, local line Rraor (pronounced ray-or) is synthesized from the phrase “currently a unicorn.” The ethos being that founders Dylan Neuwirth and Rian Robison aim to create completely new, unique, somethings—pushing themselves to chase ideas they haven't seen before, in whatever form that may take. “A brand forever in beta,” says Neuwirth.

The first form: these lovely hand-dyed natural muslin bandannas made using Japanese dye techniques. The future holds distressed unisex graphic tees, and what they’ve promised me will be a “seriously kickass backpack.” Overall it’s this free-thinking, undefined brand culture that feels exciting and exclusive, very in the know.

Oh, and affordable. Small bandannas sell for $25, large ones for $50.

You can scoop up a one-of-a-kind piece online now. Stay tuned as Rraor launches its new products through special popups, events, and exhibitions.
