Well hey, Bellevue.
After just announcing a month ago that it would be adding the state’s first Uniqlo to its retail offerings this fall, the Bellevue Collection sent word this week that a 26,000-square-foot Zara store will also be joining the mix.
As part of the expansion into what’ll be called the Bellevue Square South Common (aka the departed JCPenney), the area’s second Zara will include its full offerings for men, women, and kiddos. Meaning—in case you’re unaware of the whole Zara ethos—well-priced, on-trend, grab-it-now goods from the Spain-based retailer that runs over 6,600 locations worldwide.
It’s hard to say if we can look forward to the same sort of VIP party/line-out-the-door insanity that the city experienced with the opening of the Westlake location. But it is reasonably exciting nonetheless—and, as we’ve been saying for years, a sign that the greater fashion world is taking notice of our upper left corner.
