WHERE: Axis Pioneer Square

WHAT: Now in its 17th year, the annual Art Institute Seattle fashion show gives students a first look at the world of runway, and gives you a preview of some of the city's up-and-coming designers. AIS undergrads studying in a variety of fields will present mini collections based on global street styles under the theme of Runway District.

For the second year, a portion of the proceeds benefits Redeeming Soles, a local nonprofit that provides footwear to our homeless and underprivileged neighbors in the Seattle area. Ticket sales also help raise money for student scholarships. There will be a raffle and live auction before the second show to really get the dollars rolling in.

WHEN: Designs hit the catwalk twice on Thursday, March 19—once at 5, with a later showing at 8pm. Tickets ($20 for general admission, $40 for reserved seats, and $60 for the VIP package) are available now from Runway District.

Side note: I'm sitting on the judging panel. So if you attend—and I hope you do!—come say hello. Or follow me on Instagram (@acarolena) to see shots from the show.
