WHERE: Glasswing in Melrose Market
WHAT: If the words "style" and "sports jersey" don't seem like they should fit in the same sentence, you've never heard of Ebbets Field Flannels. Far from the world of polyester and screen printing, the SoDo-based brand recreates the uniforms of bygone teams, crafting jackets, shirts, and hats that are hand-cut, hand-sewn, and authentic to a T.
See for yourself at Glasswing: The throwback brand is bringing some of its original Pacific Coast League pieces, along with newly released items, for a week-long pop-in shop.
WHEN: The pop-in kicks off with an opening reception on Thursday, November 6 from 7 to 9. Attendees will have a first chance to shop, but will also share some drinks and enjoy an 8:00 screening of a short documentary on Ebbets founder, Jerry Cohen, and the history of his business.
Ebbets items will stay in store through November 12.
