WHAT: Diane von Furstenberg is an emerald fan, by which we mean the Emerald City. Surprisingly enough, even before she opened her Bellevue Square shop, she spent time in Seattle and Bellevue visiting friends. She even has a top seven list of favorite hot spots in these parts.

So we were excited to hear that she'll be back this week, visiting the Capitol Hill literary destination to talk about her just-released memoir, The Woman I Wanted to Be

Helping to lead the conversation is recently departed Seattle Met style editor (now in charge of Nordstrom's fashion blog), Laura Cassidy. She'll be there to interview von Furstenberg—and having been a witness to Cassidy's thoughtful, off-the-cuff, totally engaging interview tactics, I'm particularly excited to see the two women together.

Also on hand: Seattle Art Museum's deputy director for art, Chiyo Ishikawa, who brings her elevated eye to the whole scene.

WHEN: Join the conversation on Friday, November 14 at 5:30.
