Get the Look: Transitional Fall Lip Shades with Tiffany Colors
Our go-to makeup gal puckers up for a new season of lip shades.
Despite the intermittent sunshine and our reluctance to stop wearing our Birkenstocks (hey, the socks and sandals thing can totally carry us into fall), it's officially October and time to welcome the new season. To help us make the transition from summer's brights to fall's deep lip hues, we've recruited our go-to makeup artist Tiffany Colors. Check out her best autumn advice, below.

Not ready to part with summertime shades (and that half-used lipstick tube) and jump into fall's berries and reds? Transitioning your favorite summer lip to the new season is actually as easy as picking up a deep berry lipliner.
First:
Line your lips with your berry-hued liner and use the same stick to fill in your entire pout. I love MAC's lip pencil in 'Half-Red' ($16) or Burt's Bees Lip Crayon in Napa Vinyard ($8).
Next:
Next grab the last of your summer lipstick (pinkish shades work great for this) and swipe just your bottom lip and press them together. My personal deadline for this transitory shade is the end of October, then you can fully embrace autumn's deeper hues. Remember your fall lipstick can be sheer or matte or shiny, try light layers of color until you find what works for you.
To go all in, here are my choice shades (from steals to splurgy) for the season:
Middle Ground: Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey ($16)
Department Splurge: YSL Rouge Pur Couture matte shade in Grenat Satisfaction ($35)
