Anglophiles rejoice; the local blogger and online shopkeeper Liz Le Dorze of Komedal Road and UK-based Louisa Blackmore of West Egg Interiors are teaming up to teach you how to outfit your abode with that rustic-yet-refined English countryside vibe.

Blackmore brings her Paint Like A Pro workshop from Bedford to Bainbridge for the weekend of September 6 and 7 to teach practiced DIY-ers and amatures alike how to source, restore, and revamp home furnishings.

The cirriculum is all about the top-to-bottom refurbishing process. The design duo gives tips on sourcing and choosing furniture, basic repair/prep/upholstery, and myriad decorating techiques—distressing, crackling, decoupaging, and gilding.

The workshop will run you $470 for a spot, which covers most materials, guided notes, food, and a one hour skype chat with Blackmore after the event. What should you bring? Two pieces of wooden furniture and an upholstery project. If you're struggling to find said items, get in contact once you're registered and they'll source for you.

Chances to snag a spot end Thursday, July 31. Spaces are limited, so book online or send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Paint Like A Pro - Bainbridge Island."

Blackmore will return to the States on September 13 when the duo joins forces again to host a one-day workshop focusing on the key aspects of running an interiors business.
