Bundled Up
Our Favorite Fall Outerwear
Get autumn ready with a lineup of our picks for fall coats and coverups from local retailers.
Autumn's chill is just around the corner, and despite being glued to the Bermuda shorts and bright colors making their way down the Fashion Week runways, we're getting ourselves winter ready. At the top of our list: a statement coat, aka this year's Céline bag (and it'll keep you warm at night).
Aim for bold cuts and dramatic, oversized outwear and choose a neutral color palette—reminder: red is a neutral this year—in rich textures. The guys get in on this too with jackets that feature strong collars, fishtail hemlines, and daring details.
We've taken a page from the fall look books of local boutiques and designers to pick five of our favorite (and then some) jackets, coats, and coverups for the coming season. For more of fall's best, check out the Seattle Met October fashion spread, on stands and online now.
