For our lip pick to round out the last official month of summer we enlisted the expertise of local makeup artist Tiffany Lowry (a.k.a. Tiffany Colors). Her bold suggestion? Yves Saint Laurent 'Rouge Pur Couture' lipstick in fuchsia innocent.

"I love the satin finish and that this is a work-to-play kind of lipstick," Lowry told us. "It's soft and feminine with a very glamorous 'no I wasn't playing in my mother's makeup, I know what I'm doing' kind of punch."

The fuchsia shade goes on light and somewhat subtle, but apply two or three layers and the result is a wearable pop of candy color.
